Bahamas Cabinet updates on October 2nd Businesses Closure

NASSAU, The Bahamas –The Cabinet Office announced that all banks will still close today at 1 p.m.

However, due to the current tracking information on Hurricane Joaquin as of noon, October 2, 2015, on islands not currently being affected by storm-force conditions, all private businesses  who wish to do so, may close at 1 p.m.

Based on the intensity of the storm, residents are still advised to heed the warnings issued by The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Department of Meteorology, and stay tuned for further updates.
