The Bahamas Government Board members of the Bahamas Telecommunications Company paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Davis at the Office of the Prime Minister to discuss various matters concerning BTC, on 23 February 2022.

Attorney and Deputy Chairman of the board, Valentine Grimes, revealed in discussions that for the first time since 2016 during the Christie Administration, a payment of substantive dividends totaling 24.5 million dollars was made from BTC to the Government of The Bahamas.

The meeting is the first of many to come as there are plans to have periodic meetings between Prime Minister Davis and board members to ensure both the Government of The Bahamas and Liberty Latin America remain accountable in upholding their positions.

Also present at the meeting were board members Attorney Parkco Deal, Accountant Peter Cartwright and Human Resources Strategist Daphne Simmons.
