NASSAU, The Bahamas – ‘All systems are go’ for Bahamas Junkanoo Carnival, according to Bahamas National Festival Commission (BNFC) CEO Roscoe Dames at Monday’s press conference to update the public on preparedness for the festival, May 5-7, 2016.  Past critiques from vendors and members of the public have been applied to making improvements this year.  Mr. Dames said the Da Cultural Village opens at 12:00 noon daily and is free to the public until 6 p.m. each day.  Tickets for the events -- scheduled for after 6:00 p.m. daily -- can be purchased at all Cash-N-Go locations in New Providence, and at Da Cultural Village on the day of those events.  Pictured with Mr. Dames are Patrick McGrew (left), executive director, Unique Bahamas International (UBI) and Adrian Thompson, events/logistics manager, BNFC.  (BIS Photo/Patrick Hanna)
