DOHA, Qatar - Fred Mitchell, Minister of Foreign Affairs, center, along with Dr. Michael Darville, Minister for Grand Bahama, paid a courtesy call on the President of Qatar Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani following the opening of the Doha Economic Forum in Doha, the capital of Qatar on Monday, 12 May 2014.
The Bahamas established diplomatic relations with Qatar last year. Qatar's Washington Ambassador visited The Bahamas and in particular Grand Bahama where he was hosted by Dr. Darville. The Bahamas is showcasing itself in Qatar and United Arab Emirates as a secure country for investment.
