Nassau, Bahamas - Wednesday, 14 April, 2021 – The Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, Her Excellency Dai Qingli made a courtesy call on the Minister of Labour and Transport, Senator the Honourable Dion Foulkes at the Ministry of Transport on West Bay Street on Wednesday, April 14, 2021. Minister Foulkes and Ambassador Dai Qingli discussed matters of mutual interests to The Bahamas and China including labour, maritime affairs, tourism, and ways to combat the COVID-19 pandemic along with other matters.

Minister Foulkes was accompanied by Ms. Antoinette Thompson, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Transport and Ms. Gina Thompson, Permanent Secretary/Acting in the Ministry of Labour.  Also in attendance were Ms. Shagerra Edgecombe, Foreign Service Officer and Mr. Rondel Johnson, Protocol Officer.

Ambassador Dai Qingli was accompanied by Yin Haigang, Consulor; Fan Jinke, First Secretary and Cheng Jie, Third Secretary.
