NASSAU, The Bahamas -- The Ministry of Transport &
Aviation welcomed a delegation from the People’s Republic of China on a tour
the new multi-million dollar Bahamian air traffic control facility at Lynden
Pindling International Airport (LPIA) on May 27, after a brief reception at the
International Diplomatic Lounge upon their arrival in The Bahamas.
The delegation of aviation officials of the People’s
Republic of China arrived to sign agreements implementing air service between
China and The Bahamas.
Minister of Transport and Aviation the Hon. Glenys Hanna
Martin told the delegation as she conducted the tour that the facility has
cutting edge technology at world-class standards.
Minister Hanna-Martin said she was very excited to show the
technology, so the delegation could have an understanding that The Bahamas has
an aviation sector that is on the move.
