Freeport, Grand Bahama - While attending the historic Cabinet meeting held on the island of Grand Bahama this week, Minister of the Environment and Housing, Hon. Kenred Dorsett, finalized contracts for the construction of thirty six (36) homes on the island. The 36 dwelling structures will be located in Bahamia West Replat.
The contracts awarded to twelve (12) local contractors will not only result in making homes available for Bahamians living on the island of Grand Bahama but will also create much needed jobs during construction. The combined value of the contracts awarded is approximately $4,147,000.
In addition to this project, the Ministry of the Environment and Housing is making steady progress on its other projects in the Government Housing Programme.
