Nassau, Bahamas - The Department of Immigration takes note of
the photographs published in today’s Tribune, (5th September 2013).
We wish to say, that we are unable to authenticate same.
It is to be noted, that we take very seriously, our mandate to uphold
the integrity of our institutions.
The release of photographs, purporting to represent any area of the
internal infrastructure of the Detention Centre, is a breach
of security.
As with any breach of the security of the Detention Centre, this matter
will also be investigated.
