Emma E. Cooper Primary School in Palmetto Point Gets a Visit from Mrs. Minnis

NASSAU, The Bahamas - Spouse of the Prime Minister Mrs. Patricia Minnis visited Emma E. Cooper School, in Palmetto Point, Eleuthera, and spoke to students in an interactive setting, on November 6, 2018.  Principal Terrie Butler welcomed her, and District Superintendent for North and Central Eleuthera Myrtle McPhee and representatives from New Providence accompanied Mrs. Minnis.  Among the various topics she addressed to the students included bullying and name-calling, physical violence, letting a responsible adult know about any issue that makes them uncomfortable.  Mrs. Minnis also presented a signed display on gender-based violence to the school, and took time out to talk with a number of students.  (BIS Photos / Eric Rose)
