FREEPORT, The Bahamas -- The family of the late Mrs. Mary Wilchcombe said farewell to her at The Pro-Cathedral of Christ the King in Freeport, Grand Bahama on Saturday, July 30, 2016.  Mary Wilchcombe was the mother of the Hon. Obie Wilchcombe, Minister of Tourism, and Member of Parliament for West Grand Bahama and Bimini.

Minister Wilchcombe described his mother as a disciplinarian, but one who disciplined with love.  He also told how she believed in education, and went the extra mile to ensure her children received the best education.  Most importantly he knew that his mother believed in Psalm 127:3 which speaks of children as being a reward.
