FREEPORT, Grand Bahama – The Hon. Dr. Michael Darville announced a gospel concert in aid of former Parliamentarian, Pastor Lindy Russell's medical expenses at a press conference on Monday at the Ministry of Grand Bahama. The concert is scheduled for June 7, 2015 at the Eight Mile Rock High School Gymnasium.

Dr. Darville said as a result of Pastor Russell’s dedicated work for the spiritual and civic development of the people of Grand Bahama, when he became ill, "the outpouring of love and support from almost every strata of this community was phenomenal."

Dr. Darville called on the residents of Grand Bahama to attend the gospel concert, and added that he, along with the residents of Grand Bahama, are praying for Reverend Lindy Russell's "complete healing and restoration."

Other clergymen from all denominations were on hand to pray and echo Dr. Darville’s sentiments, including the Vice-President of the Grand Bahama Christian Council, Pastor Robert Lockhart.
