Grand Bahama’s newest family entertainment park attraction nearing completion

FREEPORT, Grand Bahama – A Blessing of the Grounds Ceremony was held on Sunday, May 29, for Grand Bahama’s newest family entertainment park attraction, Pirate’s Cove, at Taino Beach West. Conducting the ceremony were Archdeacon Harry Bain and Bishop Kermit Saunders.

Also in attendance was Minister of Tourism the Hon. Obie Wilchcombe, who commended the pooling of resources by the investors to create the $1.4 million venture.

Kayaking, paddle boards, miniature golf, horse & carriage rides through Smith's Point, an Iguana Park and ‘Mumbo,’ the talking parrot, are some of the family entertainment attractions. Available soon also will be the water park, zip lining, and rock wall climbing.

The $1.4 million water theme park venture is located on 7.43 acres of land, and expected to employ 40 to 60 persons.
