Important school reopening dates for New Providence, Grand Bahama and North Andros

Nassau, Bahamas – Due to the observance of Majority Rule Day holiday on the actual date - January 10, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology wishes to bring the following dates to the public’s attention.
These dates apply to schools in New Providence, Grand Bahama and North Andros only.
v Tuesday, 3rd January 2017 - All teachers are to report to school
v Tuesday 3rd to Friday 6th January 2017 – Teacher work days
v Monday, 9th January 2017 - National Report Card Day
v Tuesday, 10th January 2017 – Majority Rule Day Holiday
v Wednesday, 11th January, 2017 – Students return to school
Schools in the remaining islands/districts will open as previously stated on 3rd January, 2017.
We thank administrators, teachers, students, parents and general public for their understanding and usual cooperation.
