NASSAU, The Bahamas - Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture, the Hon. Michael Pintard recently met with the Cultural Affairs Division and discussed present and future initiatives for the promotion and preservation of culture in The Bahamas. Among those present were representatives of the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas, the National Dance School of The Bahamas and and officers with responsibility for Junkanoo. Among the various initiatives discussed were planned cultural outreaches to inner-city communities, festivals and events on the Family Islands, and the increase in the visibility of the activities of the Division.
