Nassau, Bahamas - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosts the Model United Nations (MUN) Session 2017 on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Holy Trinity Activity Centre, Stapledon Gardens, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
Students of 15 secondary schools, public and private, from several islands of The Bahamas, will participate in a United Nations simulation exercise in which they will discuss timely topics from the perspective of each member country, represented by: Haiti, Syria, Turkey, UK, Kenya, Germany, Norway, Canada, Philippines, Mexico, Guatemala, China, Dominican Republic, Brazil, Cuba, US, and The Bahamas -- towards learning to become informed and engaged citizens of the world.
Resolution for debate at this year's session: "Migration and Human Rights: Protecting the Rights of Migrants and Refugees Within Large Movements."
