Nassau, The Bahamas - Minister of Labour & Immigration the Hon. Keith Bell provided the press with an update on the Haitian immigrants currently housed in Inagua. The Minister said these are “unprecedented numbers” and the ministry will be dealing with the situation as “quickly as they can.” The Minister  also said there must be a balance in keeping Bahamians safe and also treating those who enter our country with basic human dignity and respect.
