NASSAU, The Bahamas – Newest graduates of the Ministry of Youth Sports and Culture’s ‘Fresh Start’ programme, had as their keynote speaker Wednesday evening Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Perry G. Christie, who shared with them a very moving account of his own struggles in school that did not deter him from becoming an achiever, but instead steered his life towards overcoming and accomplishment.

The young people, challenged by various issues including not finishing high school, underwent a programme of personal development and job readiness to put them on a stronger footing.

Photos show them entering the room for the graduation ceremony at SuperClubs Breezes; listening to the Prime Minister; and also being encouraged by Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture the Hon. Dr. Daniel Johnson.   (BIS Photos/Derek Smith)
