SWEETING’S CAY, Grand Bahama – Newly appointed Minister of State for Disaster Preparedness, Management and Reconstruction, the Hon. Pakesia Parker-Edgecombe, on Saturday, March 20, visited Sweeting’s Cay, one of the hard-hit areas by Category 5 Hurricane Dorian that ravaged Abaco and Grand Bahama in September 2019.  Minister Edgecombe was accompanied by Managing Director of the Disaster Reconstruction Authority (DRA), Mrs. Katherine Forbes-Smith, and other members of the Authority. While on that eastern cay, the delegation saw members of the Kiwanis Club, who were also assisting with the recovery effort.  As the new Minister, Mrs. Edgecombe is visiting the hardest-hit areas to see, first-hand, the strides made towards recovery.  The group will visit Abaco and Cays soon.  (BIS Photos/Lisa Davis)
