Prime Minister, the Right Hon. Perry G. Christie gave welcome
remarks during a luncheon held for the Director General of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and Caribbean Ministers of Agriculture
on Tuesday, February 24, at the British Colonial Hilton. The delegates are in The Bahamas
for regional meetings with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United
Nations on improving Caribbean agriculture and making the region more self-sufficient in food production. Also in attendance at the luncheon was Minister of Agriculture, Marine
Resources and Local Government the Hon. V. Alfred Gray and the Bahamas
