PHA-Sandilands Rehabilitation Centre confirms six COVID-19 cases

The Public Hospitals Authority (PHA) and Sandilands Rehabilitation Centre (SRC) confirms that currently there are six (6) female clients at the Geriatric Hospital who have tested positive for COVID-19.

In keeping with COVID-19 Protocols and out of an abundance of caution, the clients who tested positive have been placed in quarantine.  Additionally, SRC Employee Health Department has commenced the relevant protocols with regards to the assessment of staff and follow-through based on the results. All SRC staff continue to adhere to the Infection Control Precautions and the institution continues to restrict visits at this time.

The public is advised to follow all updates and public health advisories from the Ministry of Health and Public Hospitals Authority  for information with respect to health and hospital services.
