Nassau, Bahamas – The Government of The Bahamas recently announced that Police Character References, also known as police records, are now available for collection at the Centralized Collection Centre in the General Post Office at the Town Center Mall. The Centralized Collection Center is a centralized location for the collection of government documents requested via the MyGateway portal.

The change in the collection location of Police Character References from the Criminal Records Office at the Royal Bahamas Police Force to the Centralized Collection Centre is expected to increase customer convenience because of the General Post Office’s central location, available parking spaces, and accessibility by bus.

Customers requesting services on MyGateway.gov.bs such as renewing or replacing a driver’s licence, renewing a learner’s permit, and requesting certified copies of birth, death and marriage certificates, may also collect documents from the Centralized Collection Centre. Additional documents for collection will be included in the coming weeks.

The Centralized Collection Centre is open from 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM on Monday to Friday, except for public holidays. All documents must be collected in person and one form of a government-issued identification must be provided for verification. For more information, please visit MyGateway.gov.bs.
