Prime Minister Christie to Address The Nation with NEMA at Press Briefing Today

NASSAU, The Bahamas –Director of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Captain Stephen Russell announced today that NEMA has already activated its National Emergency Operation Centre and is currently addressing the reports of flooding and persons needing assistance in islands such as Crooked Island, Acklins, Exuma and Long Island.

  Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Perry Christie and other key members of the emergency management team will brief the nation at a Press Conference at the NEMA Headquarters, at 3 p.m. today, on the information that they are receiving from affected islands and what is being done to address their concerns.
