Prime Minister Minnis Returns from CARICOM in Montego Bay

Nassau, The Bahamas - Returning Saturday evening from the 39th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) in Montego Bay, Jamaica, July 4-6, Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Hubert Minnis addressed a press conference at LPIA during which he said he assured Bahamian medical students in Jamaica of a place for them at home; he stated that there is no issue of free movement of persons through The Bahamas relative to the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME); and that local security forces -- Bahamian police and defence forces -- are on alert with respect to the current uprisings in Haiti.  He is pictured upon arrival, accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Darren Henfield, Minister of Education Jeffrey Lloyd, Parliamentary Secretary Pakesia Parker-Edgecombe, Senior Policy Advisor Joshua Sears, and Chief Operating Officer of the Prime Minister's Delivery Unit, Viana Gardiner.  (Photos/Peter Ramsay)
