Prime Minister Minnis receives Courtesy Call from newly appointed U.S. Chargé d’Affaires

Prime Minister the Most Hon. Dr. Hubert Minnis received a courtesy call on Thursday 4 February from the newly appointed United States Chargé d’Affaires, Mrs. Usha E. Pitts at the Cabinet Office.

Discussions covered matters of mutual interest and served to reinforce The Bahamas and US governments’ commitment to strengthening cooperation between the two countries.  

The Prime Minister welcomed Chargé d’Affaires Pitts to The Bahamas and conveyed congratulations to the newly elected Biden-Harris administration.

Also present at the meeting from the US Embassy were Mr. Garrett Wilkerson, Acting Deputy Chief of Mission and Director of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs; and Mr. Daniel Villanueva, Political-Economic-Commercial Chief.

Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister, Mr. David Davis; and Mrs. Viana Gardiner, COO, Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit, also attended the meeting.
