The Ministry of Public Works/Bahamix has scheduled milling and paving works for the Junction of Marlborough/Cumberland/Navy Lion Roads. Work will take place from 7:30pm on Wednesday, 26 February to 2:30am Thursday, 27 February, 2020.

In order to allow traffic to access Bay Street and Woodes Rogers Walk, Bahamix will implement the following four phase road closure and traffic plan; that involves milling and paving to reinstate the surface:

Phase one of the Milling works will cause the shutdown of Cumberland Street and the Right Lane Closure of Navy Lion Road.

All north bound traffic for Cumberland Street will be diverted to West Hill Street onto West Street, onto Virginia Street, onto Nassau Street, onto West Bay Street and finally onto Marlborough Street which will lead directly onto the Left Lane of Navy Lion Road.

Phase two of the Milling works will cause the shutdown of Marlborough Street and the Left Lane of Navy Lion Road. All traffic heading East on West Bay Street will be detoured to Nassau Street, then onto Dillet and Meeting Streets, onto Baillou Hill Road towards Cumberland Street and then onto the Right Lane of Navy Lion Road.

To complete the Paving aspects of the works within the same specified period, phases three and four of the road closure and traffic plan will be a repeat of phase one and two of the aforementioned Milling traffic plan.

You are asked to be aware of and acknowledge the posted traffic paving signs in the area. If you have any queries or concerns, please contact us at telephone numbers (242) 361-3886 or (242) 341-3886.

The Ministry of Public Works/Bahamix apologizes for any inconvenience caused.
