Regional Fund for Wastewater Management (CReW)-sponsored and organised
Workshop on Appropriate Wastewater Treatment Technologies, on October 1,
2012, on the first day of the Caribbean Water and Wastewater Association (CWWA)’s
21st Annual Conference and Exhibition and the First Caribbean Water and
Wastewater Congress. Dr. Salvidar is considered a distinguished
biotechnologist, researcher, lecturer, project manager and project
engineer with extensive experience in Latin America, North America and
Europe.
According to the website, the Caribbean Regional Fund for Wastewater Management (CReW),
established in 2011, seeks to provide sustainable financing for the
wastewater sector, support policy and legislative reform, and foster
regional dialogue and knowledge exchange among key stakeholders in the
Wider Caribbean Region. The four year project, is being funded by the
Global Environment Facility (GEF). The Inter-American Development Bank
(IDB) and United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) will be the
