The Ministry of Health is aware of a demonstration which occurred today with some of the students from the University of the Bahamas’ School of Nursing.
As the safety and expansion of the country’s nursing cadre is priority, on 1st June, 2021 a virtual meeting was scheduled with the Bachelor of Science Nursing students to be held on Thursday 3rd June, 2021 at 4:00p.m. This meeting will proceed as scheduled with the Director of Nursing Mrs. Gina Dean and other Ministry of Health officials.
The Ministry of Health continues to collaborate with the Public Hospitals Authority and the University of the Bahamas to safely continue the phased re-entry approach for the nursing students into the clinical environment.
