Freeport, The Bahamas - Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. paid a courtesy call on the Hon. Dr. Michael Darville, Minister for Grand Bahama, on Monday.  The young ladies of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority are celebrating Founders Week this week. This institution was founded some 83 years ago and its main thrust is service, scholarship and sisterhood.

The National Project for the sisters is to help prevent teenage pregnancy and unplanned pregnancy in general. Minister Darville applauded the women for the many initiatives they are doing on the island such as being a sponsor for the girls at P.A.C.E, Healthy Lifestyles where they provide fruit and water, and also reading at the various schools.
