Fresh Creek Andros, The Bahamas - Spouse of the Prime Minister, Mrs. Patricia Minnis led a delegation that included Senator the Hon. Dr. Jasmin Turner-Dareus and endocrinologist Dr. Kristine Parker-Curling to Central Andros and paid a visit to Rock Sound Primary on March 5, 2019.  She interacted with students, who had gathered to perform for the E. Clement Bethel National Arts Festival adjudications at the school and especially encouraged female students about their future and that they can be anything they wanted to be.  “I would like to see them excel in school,” Mrs. Minnis said.  “I would like say to them that whatever it is they would like to be -- the Prime Minister, the doctor -- but, more so, I want to say to them that we are looking at balance ... Let us look at innovation.”  Mrs. Minnis and her team then visited the nearby Central Andros High School in Love Hill for a Girls’ Empowerment Seminar themed “Success in Human Form".  The high school also recognized Senator Turner-Dareus as a former head girl.  (BIS Photos/Eric Rose)
