The Appreciation Week schedule took this format: Tuesday – teachers gave historical recounts of the way things were when they were small to the children in their classrooms; Wednesday – ice cream cones for everyone! Thursday – grand production of drama and songs with teachers dressed as students of various schools, and presentation of a medal to each student that says, “I Am Unique”; Friday – learning old childhood games like marbles, tops, races, and kite-making, with the assistance of a fraternity attached to the school.
