Freeport, The Bahamas - Tabernacle Baptist's 4x1 senior boys relay team set a new national record at the recent National High School Track and Field Championships in Nassau. As a result of their success, Minister for Grand Bahama, the Hon. Dr. Michael Darville and Mike Sands, president of the Bahamas Amateur Athletic Association, were on hand on Monday to present the winners with a cheque for $5,000 on behalf of the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture.

The cheque will assist the team's travel to the Penn Relays in Pennsylvania, Philadelphia in April.
