The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to inform the general public that the diplomatic staff of The Bahamas Embassy in Haiti returned to the country on Wednesday, 27 October 2021.

As indicated by the Hon. Frederick A. Mitchell, MP, Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Public Service, the decision was made out of an abundance of caution and the Government’s grave concern over the deteriorating security situation in Haiti.
The Security Attachés remain in Haiti and will assist in monitoring the ongoing situation in the country.

The general public is advised that the Embassy is now temporarily closed to the public.
