Foreign Minister Fred Mitchell MP and the High
Commissioner to Jamaica for The Bahamas Picewell Forbes MP will join the
Jamaican community in Nassau to mark the observances of the 53rd
anniversary of the independence of Jamaica.
The Ministry of Foreign
Affairs sends congratulations to the people of Jamaica on the occasion
of their independence and fraternal and sisterly greetings from The
Bahamas.
The observances in Nassau will take place at Zion Baptist
Church at 4 p m and the Minister and the High Commissioner are expected to attend.
