Nassau Traffic Diversion for Edgecombe's Funeral

Nassau, The Bahamas – At 9:30am, Monday, November 25, 2013 the funeral motorcade will leave the House of Assembly and travel east on Bay Street to East Bay Street east to Eastern Road to Fox Hill Road south on Fox Hill Road to Joe Farrington Road west on Joe Farrington Road to the Church of God Auditorium where the service will begin at 10:00 a.m.

ROUTE OF PROCESSION TO MT CAREY UNION BAPTIST CHURCH CEMETERY

After the Service, the Mourning Party will form in motorcade and travel east on Joe Farrington Road to Fox Hill Road, north on Fox Hill Road to Frank Edgecombe Drive. The motorcade will proceed north on Fox Hill Road to Mt. Carey Union Baptist Church Cemetery.

ROAD CLOSURE:

From 8:00 a.m. until after the funeral on Monday, November 25, 2013 the following streets will be closed to vehicular traffic: -

JOE FARRINGTON ROAD BETWEEN MARIGOLD FARM ROAD & FOX HILL ROAD

From 12:30 p.m. until after the motorcade passes on Monday, November 25, 2013 the following streets will be closed to vehicular traffic: -

JOE FARRINGTON ROAD BETWEEN FOX HILL & MARIGOLD FARM ROAD

FOX HILL ROAD BETWEEN GHANA CAY CIRCLE & EASTERN ROAD

FRANK EDGECOMBE DRIVE BETWEEN FOX HILL ROAD AND FRANK EDGECOMBE WAY

TRAFFIC DIVERSIONS:

From 8:00 a.m. until after the funeral on Monday 25th November, 2013 vehicular traffic which intends to travel east and west on Joe Farrington Road between Fox Hill and Marigold Farm Roads will be diverted onto side roads for proper traffic management in the area of the auditorium.

From 1:00 p.m. all vehicular traffic travelling the route of the Mourning Party Procession and Motorcade from the church, will be diverted to side streets until after the procession reaches the gravesite at Mt. Carey Baptist Church, Fox Hill Road.

NO PARKING

From 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. no parking will be permitted on the following streets.

JOE FARRINGTON ROAD BETWEEN FOX HILL AND MARIGOLD FARM ROAD BOTH SIDES

FOX HILL ROAD BETWEEN GHANA CAY CIRCLE AND EASTERN ROAD BOTH SIDES

FRANK EDGECOMBE DRIVE BETWEEN FOX HILL ROAD AND FRANK EDGECOMBE WAY BOTH SIDES

PARKING

Parking will be permitted on the church's property, Joe Farrington Road, and on the side of the road not obstructing business establishments, drive ways or people's property, also in the area of the cemetery, Fox Hill Road.
