Nassau The Bahamas - Minister of the Housing and the Environment, the Hon. Romauld Ferreira delivered opening remarks at a lecture held at the University of The Bahamas, January 17, 2020.  The lecture was presented by Italian Ambassador to The Bahamas, His Excellency Armando Varricchio who spoke on the topic 'Tackling Climate Change: What Italy and the European Union are doing to help.'  Minister Ferreira said The Bahamas is taking several measures to deal with reducing the country's carbon footprint to reduce negative efforts to the environment, including the elimination of plastic bags, and looking into renewable energy sources.   (BIS Photos/Derek Smith)
