Nassau, Bahamas -- The Utilities Regulation and Competition Authority (URCA) presented monetary donations to several charities in the country at its Head Office at Fredrick House on Fredrick Street, Friday, March 12, 2021.

CEO, URCA, Carlton Smith explained that due to challenges of the COVID-19 Pandemic, URCA employees decided to donate to charities of their choice.

“The employees provided us with a list of charities that they would like to contribute to and so this contribution that is being made today is on behalf of all of the team members,” Mr. Smith said.

He also expressed gratitude to URCA’s licensees in particular because as URCA is not a revenue generating organisation, it relies heavily on the financial contributions of its licensees to position it to be able to execute its work as well as fulfill some benevolent projects that it seeks to do annually.
