Winners Announced from Authentically Bahamian Spring Festival 2008

Grand Bahama Island - The 1st Annual Authentically "Grand" Bahamian Gift and Craft Festival was held on Friday, April 4th at 6pm at Taino Beach, and was a huge success.  Artisans from Grand Bahama and throughout The Bahamas were on hand to show off their wares. Participants were judged during the event and Grand Bahama Ministry of Tourism has announced the winners.

1st prize went to Chrisanne Aston of  Fragrance of the Bahamas , who won an  all expense paid trip to Barbados in October to the Caribbean Gift & Craft Show; 2nd prize went to Sharon Ferguson of Rose of Sharon (Nassau) , who won  $300.00 cash; and 3rd prize went to Sidney Pratt,  The Glass Blower , who won $150.00 cash.

The People's Choice award went to Shauna Joseph of Joseph & Joseph Shell Craft , who won a round trip for 2 on Discovery Cruises.
