President of Haiti to make official visit to The Bahamas

Nassau, Bahamas - His Excellency Michel Joseph Martelly President of the Republic of Haiti will make an official visit to The Bahamas on February 7th and 8th, 2012.

His Excellency and his delegation will arrive Odyssey Airport  will be arriving this evening and plans are made for him to meet with the Haitian Community at the Church of God Auditorium on Joe Farrington Road in Nassau.

On Wednesday, 8th February His Excellency Michel Joseph Martelly, President of the Republic of Haiti and delegation will make a courtesy call on His Excellency Sir Arthur A. Foulkes, GCMG, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas at Government House. 


There are plans for a courtesy call on the Honourable T. Brent Symonette, M.P., Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Honourable Orville A.T. Turnquest, M.P., Minister of National Security; a call
on the Honourable Perry G. Christie, M.P., Leader of Her Majesty’s Loyal Opposition; and a call on the Right Honourable Hubert A. Ingraham, M.P., Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas.

His Excellency Michel Joseph Martelly, President of the Republic of Haiti will host a lunch meeting with the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Businessmen of The Bahamas.

Her Excellency Stephany Balmir, Minister of Tourism will make a courtesy call on Senator the Honourable Vincent Vanderpool-Wallace, Minister of Tourism and Aviation.


The President of the  Republic of Haiti will also visit the Haitian Embassy before his departure.
