Miss Grand Bahama pre-shows her wardrobe for the Miss Bahama Universe Pageant

Freeport, Grand Bahama - Miss Grand  Bahama Garrelle Hudson displayed  her wardrobe for her upcoming participation in the Miss Bahamas Universe Pageant at an event held at the Grand Bahama Yacht Club on Monday, May 18th. Miss Hudson showed off her float  parade dress, her black cocktail dress, her red carpet gown and her exquisite evening gown designed and made  by Ali  of Pakistan.

Miss Grand Bahama wishes to give thanks to all of her sponsors: The  Bahamas Weekly, Esthetics Plus Skincare & Day Spa, Western Air, YMCA, Reggie & Bridgett Farrington, Isle of Capri Casino, Terreve College, Pelican Bay Hotel, Zorbas Creek Cuisine, Sol A Luna, Bahamian Brewery & Beverage (Sands Beer), Freeport Construction, Regional Air, Escante Boutique, After Seven Bridal , Traffic Bahamas, Bahama  Brides Unleashed, Gibson Gorgeous Fashion Wears, Seventeen Shop, C- Twins Beauty Supplies, Cathy Laing and Pratt's Take-out. 

The GB Yacht Club is also to be thanked for hosting this event.

About Ali Designs:

Born in Karachi, Pakistan, 21 year old Rizwan Ali realized his passion for Fashion Design and The Arts at the early age of 13. His family, originally from Quetta, Pakistan, moved to Karachi to enable Rizwan and his siblings to attain a higher quality of education.

 

Rizwan completed his high-school education at the ABC Public School in 2002 and that same year enrolled at the St. Patrick Government College where he majored in Engineering. Rizwan graduated with an Associates Degree in Engineering in 2004 and in 2005 he switched his focus back to his first “true love” Fashion Design. Now pursing a Bachelor of Fashion Design at the Asian Institute of Fashion Design, Rizwan looks forward to graduating December 2007/January 2008.

 

Rizwan can be called a “Super-man of the arts!” He is currently employed as a Web Designer for several agencies in the Bahamas and Puerto Rico and has also partnered with the Glenn Davis’s Miss Grand Bahama Beauty Pageant Organization as a Wardrobe Designer.


Rizwan made his debut on the international scene in 2004 with designs for beauty queens in The Bahamas.

 

OCT 2004 : Designed Brianna Clarke, Miss Bahamas World 2004’s evening gown for Miss World 2004 Evening Gown competition in People’s Republic Of China.

MAY 2005: Designed Denia Nixon’s finale gown for Miss Universe 2005 Beauty Pageant.

JULY 2006 : Full wardrobe production for Peandra Knowles, winner of International Face of the Bahamas Modeling Competition.
 
JAN 2008: Joined the designing team of one of the well-known labels of the country, THREDZ.

MAY 2008: Designed a cadre of exquisite cocktail dress, evening gowns and accessories for Kerel Pinder, Miss Grand Bahama World 2008. This wardrobe was exclusively designed for Miss Bahamas World 2008 Beauty Pageant.

AUG 2008 : Sponsored an evening gown for Shanae Strachan, Miss Teen Bahamas World 2007. This exquisite piece was carried by Devera Pinder, Miss Teen Caribbean Bahamas during her farewell walk at Miss Teen Bahamas World 2008/09 Pageant.

MAY 2009 : Sponsored Garelle Hudson, Miss Grand Bahama’s wardrobe for Miss Bahamas Universe 2009 Beauty Pageant. Her wardrobe includes a cocktail dress, an evening gown for the “Media Red Carpet” activity and her finale gown.
