NEW YORK -- Under the auspices of His Excellency Dr. Elliston Rahming, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas to the United Nations and the Organisation of American States OAS), the Gerald Cash Primary School's Rhythm and Youth Rake n' Scrape Company was featured in a concert event at the United Nations' Dag Hammarskjöld Library Auditorium at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2014.

This lunchtime performance of the Company at the United Nations represents another of the cultural events sponsored by the Permanent Mission of The Bahamas to the United Nations with a view to bringing greater exposure to the various unique expressions of Bahamian culture in the context of that truly global forum.

The event attracted Ambassadors and diplomats of all levels as well as members of the Bahamian Diaspora in New York. The students from the New Providence primary school are presently on a tour of New York (October 6-12, 2014)
