UNITED NATIONS, New York – Grand Bahama delegates at the Sixty-First Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW61), which commenced on Monday, March 13, 2017 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, are pictured at the opening reception on March 13 with the Hon. Melanie Griffin, Minister of Social Services and Community Development, and His Excellency Dr. Elliston Rahming, Bahamas Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations and the Organization of American States (OAS). CSW61 is the principal global inter-governmental body concerned with gender equality and women's economic empowerment. Minister Griffin headed The Bahamas delegation and delivered a statement on behalf of The Bahamas on Wednesday, March 15.
