5 Cuban nationals apprehended by Royal Bahamas Defence Force

Coral Harbour Base, 17 September, 2014 (RBDF): The Royal Bahamas Defence Force apprehended five (5) Cuban Migrants around 1:00 a.m. this morning (Wednesday, 17thSeptember, 2014), while on routine patrol in the Southern Bahamas. The migrants were spotted on Cay Lobos and intercepted by Defence Force Patrol Craft HMBS Nassau under the Command of Lieutenant Commander Raymond King. The group of undocumented Cuban Nationals consisted of five (5) males.

The Migrants were subsequently taken into custody and are currently being transported to New Providence where they will be handed over to The Department of Immigration for further processing.
