ABACO, Bahamas –  From a traditional island affair to an exotic Moroccan-inspired occasion, every couple looking for the perfect destination wedding is unique. With that in mind, Abaco Beach Resort and Boat Harbour Marina showcased the resort’s new selection of wedding displays at its first ever Wedding FAM trip.

Upon their arrival at Marsh Harbour on August 1, a group of more than 10 wedding industry professionals were treated to a four-day tropical getaway, highlighting the resort’s luxurious amenities, variety of indoor and outdoor event locations and new catering menus. Of course, no Out Island experience is complete without time on the water, so the resort treated the group to a day of exploring surrounding islands and attractions aboard one of the property’s private boats.

“Abaco has everything a couple wants for a unique destination wedding,” said Jules McCafferty, onsite wedding coordinator at Abaco Beach Resort. “This trip showcased Abaco as a premier wedding destination to industry professionals, and will ultimately bring business not only to Abaco, but to all the surrounding islands.”

The resort has also launched new wedding packages to celebrate the occasion.  All packages include a wedding planner, marriage license, officiant, bouquet, photographer and wedding cake; and are tailored to each couple’s needs. Couples who book receive complimentary stay on their wedding night with a minimum night stay.
