Nassau,  Bahamas - The Bahamas Chiropractic Association is officially recognized by the Bahamian Government as of March 2011. Chiropractic was born in The Bahamas in 1946 when Dr. Maurice Kelly opened his practice. Since that time the chiropractic profession has grown to 12 doctors of chiropractic with a few Bahamian students studying at chiropractic colleges in the USA and Canada.

The Bahamas Chiropractic Association received its government approval as a non-profit organization. Our goals as an association are to educate the community and the other health care professionals to the importance of a healthy spine and nervous system so we can work together in the restoration and maintenance of a healthier Bahamas. The chiropractic profession continues to teach that a healthy life-style is imperative and primary to assist the body in healing itself. Chiropractic is a non-invasive, natural approach to healing. We look to remove nerve interference in the nervous system thus restoring the natural flow of life in the body; which validates our well-known Bahamian saying, “Thank God for Life!”
