The luncheon had a three fold objective and was designed to heighten the awareness of the resort’s facilities, solicit new business and simultaneously provide a value added incentive to local business establishments partnering with the resort.

This non-traditional luncheon was imbued with the Christmas mood which included beautiful Christmas décor in traditional colors of red, gold and green created by 'A Social Affair', complete with a Christmas tree, and holiday music.

An impressive menu included the following sumptuous fare: cream of winter squash soup with a hint of saffron, caesar salad, asparagus and tomato salad, roasted corn with a nutmeg vinaigrette, island potato salad, baked ham with mango and pineapple chutney, pan fried grouper with a lemon sauce, roasted tom turkey with walnuts and fresh sage, roast top round of beef with red wine jus, green beans with almonds and honey glazed carrots, baked macaroni and cheese, candied cinnamon potatoes topped with marsh mellows, sweet potato stuffing.

Action stations included roasted Tom Turkey with walnuts and fresh sage, roasted suckling pig with cassava and okra, dinner rolls and sweet butter.

Desserts included sweet potato pie, pumpkin pie, apple strudel, yulogs, ginger cookies, rum cake, walnut and Myers fruit cake with butter crème anglaise and warm cinnamon infused cider (served in a soup kettel with cinnamon sticks).

All guests received a gift bag which included a Christmas CD, a 20% discount off food and beverage for Christmas event booked at the resort on or before September 5th, 2008, a Bacardi Pina Colada Rum Cake.
