RBDF Personnel Complete COVID-19 Training

Defence Headquarters, (RBDF):  As the Royal Bahamas Defence Force continues to enforce the Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King’s strategic intent to enhancing responsiveness to the security environment nationally and regionally, members of the Military Aid to Civilian Authority recently completed a four-day COVID-19 training at the Princess Margaret Hospital.

A total of twelve RBDF Marines completed the COVID-19 Infection Prevention Control Training course offered by the Samaritan’s Purse, A non-governmental organization. During the training, efforts were focused on preventative measures of the Novel Coronavirus and how to deal with individuals who display the signs and symptoms of the virus. Participants also practiced the proper way to adorn and discard personal protective equipment

Taught by the team of doctors and nurses from the Samaritan’s Purse, the aim of this training was to limit the infection, prevention, and control of the virus. Participants were presented with certificates on completion of the training.

Lieutenant Commander Andrew Bowe, Commanding Officer for Military Aid to Civilian Authority, congratulated the team for their efforts on behalf of Commodore King and commended them as they continue to serve their country.
