Crowning moment! An emotional Rosetta Cartwright of Sweeting's Cay, Grand Bahama is named Miss World Bahamas 2014.

Nassau, Bahamas - Rosetta Cartwight who hails from Sweeting’s Cay, a small cay in the Bahamas near Grand Bahama Island  has been crowned Miss World Bahamas 2014.  The pageant completed on August 3rd. 1st Runner-up was Miss World New Providence Shanae Strachan; 2nd Runner-up was Miss World Chantel O"Brien; and 3rd Runner-up Miss World Paradise Island Rontre Rolle.

She is a Dean’s List student at the College of the Bahamas, and is passionate about inspiring others to remain positive in the face of difficulties.  She would like to meet Lupita Nyong’o, whom she says inspired her not to give up on her dreams.

Rosetta says she's not afraid of getting physical, and she once had to help free a boat that became stuck on a sand bank while trying to get home.  Rosetta is known to serenade her friends as her way of trying to brighten their day. Rosetta loves watching cooking shows and is convinced that she is a “Master Chef”.  Her mother disagrees.
