Bahamas Fashion Accessories Expo & Trade Show is design to assist small businessmen here in the Bahamas, that need help during these times and at the same time allow Bahamian Merchants to save on travel expenses, while purchasing stock to increase their inventory for the upcoming Holiday Season.

Last year’s fashion week reached new levels with top fashion designer Peter Nygard being honored during the main fashion event. This year will be a greater success when Mr. Peter Nygard, present the Peter Nygard Fashion Award to a local recipient.
We are honored to have Peter Nygård, Founder & Chairman of North America's leading fashion house NYGÅRD International as a host for this event. The fashion mogul has generously offered to host events at his paradisiacal home, NYGÅRD Cay. NYGÅRD Cay is a luxurious 150,000 sq. ft. Mayan themed masterpiece and named one of the world's most expensive resorts by Forbes Magazine. Nygård is an entrepreneur, sportsman, Olympian and humanitarian.
NYGÅRD International is number one when it comes to information technology. Nygård's slogan "Where Fashion Meets Technology", pioneered by Nygård in the early 1980's, is emblematic of the company's melding of IT and operations. The speed with which Nygård claimed his unique position is attributed to his savvy business decisions, use of cutting- edge technology and a work ethic that includes 14 to 16 hour days, seven days a week. But then again, as Nygård says, "The only time you are working is when you wish you were doing something else." Because of this, he now controls one of North America's largest women’s fashion houses.
Not only is Peter Nygård known in the fashion marketplace, he is recognized globally for his charitable efforts. Throughout Nygård’s illustrious career, he has continually given back to the community. Over a decade ago, he began his crusade to find a cure for breast cancer, making this the company’s corporate charity of choice. Last year NYGÅRD donated over $2 million to the cause.
In addition to Nygård's commitment to breast cancer research, his love of sports and drive to help people succeed has also motivated him to sponsor many Bahamian athletes over the years. His contribution to sports has been well received by the Bahamian community - and his sponsorship is ongoing.
