The High Commission of Canada will host twenty-eight Canadian universities and colleges at the Annual Nassau College Fair in The Bahamas on 14 and 15 November 2019. Students and guidance counsellors will have the opportunity to receive a wealth of information regarding the many study opportunities in Canada.

“We are pleased to offer the opportunity for Bahamian students to explore education possibilities with some of the best colleges and universities in Canada,” said Laurie Peters, Canada’s High Commissioner to The Bahamas. “As Bahamians know well, Canada offers one of the safest, most welcoming and multicultural societies on the planet with world class cities and natural wonders. By choosing to study in Canada, you will have access to an excellent educational experience – one that is rooted in a culture of hands-on learning, smaller student-teacher ratios, as well as cutting-edge technology, research, and innovation.”

The public is invited to the briefing session taking place on 14 November 2019 at the Mount Carmel Academy starting at 6:00pm. This public session is open to parents, high school students, college students and the general public who are interested in information on study options in Canada.  Representatives of the High Commission will also be available to answer questions regarding scholarships and study permits.

The Bahamas has had a long-standing relationship with Canada; chiefly through higher education. Many Bahamians have taken advantage of the quality tertiary education offered in Canada.

This is the final stop of the 2019 EduCanada Caribbean Regional Education Tour which is hosted annually to across six Caribbean islands.
