Nassau, Bahamas - Many CIBC FirstCaribbean customers received an unexpected Christmas gift from their bank during its recent “Jingle All the Way” cards promotion. The bank spread some Christmas cheer to clients this year with a spontaneous one-day pop-up at select retail locations.

Some of the patrons using CIBC FirstCaribbean Visa debit and credit cards to make purchases at shops where the CIBC FirstCaribbean Cards teams were stationed received the gift of having their purchases paid for. The bank teams left surprised and happy customers at Quality Home Center in Golden Gates, Lorene’s Southwest Plaza location, Supervalue’s Golden Gates and Mackey Street locations, and Q-Club on Mackey Street.

Among the thirty delighted shoppers who were treated, several expressed their gratitude, with one saying, “It’s small things like this that make you feel valued as a customer. Plus it’s just such a thrilling surprise and really makes your day.”

CIBC FirstCaribbean Marketing Manager (Cards) Shakida Grant said, “Tis the season to be merry, and our Cards team wanted to thank some of our clients in a special way. We know this can be a very expensive time of year with all the requisite seasonal shopping, so we figured what better time to give our customers a bit of a break and spread some Christmas cheer? The look on our customers’ faces when they had their items paid for was absolutely priceless, and we had so much fun interacting with them outside of the bank.”
